How To Unsolve A Murder
How to Unsolve a Murder follows the disappearance of retirees Jerry and Susan McFalls from their remote Arizona property in 2018, and the quiet unraveling of what should have been a straightforward investigation.
As suspicion shifted from a hostile neighbor to darker family conflicts involving greed, erased evidence, and overlooked suspects, the case stalled for years before being closed in 2024 by “exceptional means,” pinned on a man already dead and a confession that raised more questions than answers.
Through buried warrants, erased security footage, troubling interviews, and a County Attorney letter admitting there was no evidence, this film exposes how a murder can be declared “solved” without being proven, and how Mohave County’s astonishing clearance rates may hide a pattern of closing inconvenient homicides instead of confronting them.
This is not just a failure of justice, but a system quietly erasing its own unanswered crimes.

A Forgotten Disappearance
Fawn Mountain disappeared in rural Pennsylvania after an argument with her girlfriend. Years later, her case had been put on the back burner as State Troopers waited for a break in the case to come with time. Darby's deep investigation into the story brought the case significant development.
